Review ~ Agent of Enchantment by C.N Crawford & Alex Rivers

34776155Title: Agent of Enchantment
Author: C.N. Crawford & Alex Rivers
Series: Dark Fae FBI #1
Release date: April 12th 2017
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Book Description:

The fae live among us. And one of them is a serial killer.

I thought this would be a simple profiling case. Just another Jack-the-Ripper wannabe, prowling London’s streets, searching for easy kills. I was wrong. This killer is fae, and he’s as elusive as smoke on the wind. But I’m an FBI profiler, and it’s my job to track him down.

It doesn’t matter that one of the main suspects–a lethally alluring fae–is trying to seduce me… or kill me, I’m not sure which. I won’t be stopped, not even when panic roils through the streets of London, or when the police start to suspect me.

As I close in on the killer, I follow him to a magical shadow realm that’s like nothing I ever expected, where I’m hunted like prey. Fine. Bring it on. I’m an FBI Agent. And it turns out I have magical powers of my own.

Review

This one was different from the usual fae books I have read in the past. It was unusual that Cass came into her powers as an adult which is usually reserved to YA books. It was refreshing though and I did enjoy it. I also enjoyed the way C.N Crawford & Alex Rivers wrote the story.. The only reason I am giving this book a 3 star is because, even though I freaking loved the story…I just couldn’t connect with the characters, which was a real downer. However, I will be reading the next books in the series, hopefully the connection will happen then!

18056907_704144236436243_8480672703465571007_nAlex Rivers is the co-author of the Dark Fae FBI Series. In the past, he’s been a journalist, a game developer, and the CEO of the company Loadingames. He is married to a woman who diligently forces him to live his dream, and is the father of an angel, a pixie, and a gremlin. He has two voracious hounds that wag their tail quite menacingly at anyone who comes near his home.

Alex has been imagining himself fighting demons and vampires since forever. Writing about it is even better, because he doesn’t get bitten, or tormented in hell, or even just muddy. In fact, he does it in his slippers.

Alex also writes crime thrillers under the pen name Mike Omer.
